Jump Rope for Heart
The students at DePue Elementary and Junior High School are participating in the annual "Jump Rope For Heart"! event sponsored by the Amercian Heart Association. Jump Rope For Heart engages elementary students in jumping rope while raising funds to support lifesaving heart and stroke research. Students ask friends and family for donations and receive thank-you gifts based on the dollars they raise. 
This educational program teaches physical fitness and promotes the value of community service to students and their families. It shows students that they can contribute to their community’s welfare. The event this year will be held February 9-13, 2009 according to P.E. teacher Mrs. Erin Duffy. Please help support the "Jump Rope For Heart" event at DePue Schools!
