SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 2010
President Scott Werkau called the special meeting of the Board of Education to order at 7:12 p.m. March 22, 2010 in the Library.
Members present: C. Klinefelter, N. Barto, S. Werkau, B. Guzman, J. Hayes, R. Hernandez
L. Delgado entered the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
Since six members are present, a quorum does exist. It is legal to conduct the business of the District.
Staff present: A. Chandler, Superintendent
Guests: Lindsay Welbers, N-T, Barb Kromphardt, BCR,
Motion by C. Klinefelter , seconded by N. Barto to move to Room 301 for the executive session.
Voice call vote Aye: 6
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Motion by C. Klinefelter, seconded by J. Hayes to enter into executive session at 7:18 p.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees, collective bargaining matters, student discipline cases, placement of students and other matters relating to individual students and personnel. Voice vote: Aye: 6. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by N. Barto, seconded by L. Delgado to come out of executive session at 9:20 p.m. Voice vote: Aye: 7. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Personnel
Ms. Duffy was hired November 20, 2007. The 2010-2011 school year will be her third year.
Motion by B. Guzman, seconded by S. Werkau to approve the hiring of
Roll call vote Aye: Klinefelter, Werkau, Hayes, Hernandez
Nay: Barto, Delgado
Abstain: Guzman
Motion carried.
Motion by N. Barto, seconded by C. Klinefelter stating the Superintendent is directed as necessary to take steps to effectuate the Board’s purpose.

Nay: None. Motion carried.
OTHER/ANNOUNCEMENTS
A Discipline Committee meeting April 7, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. in the Principal’s Office.

Motion by N. Barto, seconded by L. Delgado to adjourn the meeting at 9:23 p.m. Voice vote: Aye: 7. Nay: None. Motion carried.
